Whether it’s a fan, circular saw, compressor, machine tool or pump – they all have one thing in common: a motor to drive them. And many of these motors have their origins in Grünhain, a small town in the Erzgebirge district near Schwarzenberg.
Since its foundation in 1951, Elektromotorenwerk Grünhain, or EMGR for short, has been a byword for reliability and quality. More than 70 years of experience in electric motor manufacturing, state-of-the-art technology as well as qualified and committed employees are a guarantee for excellent products.
The Grünhainer Elektromotorenwerk has established itself as a supplier of universal drives for consumer goods, trade, commerce and industry. In addition to the core business of three-phase and single-phase AC motors in the power range from 0.06 to 7.5 kW, which make up the majority of motor production, flat, built-in and pot motors as well as open device motors are manufactured in Grünhain.
No standard goods
The majority of our orders are not standard goods, but customer-specific developments, adapted to the design of the respective application. Thus, desired additional options such as integrated brakes, switch or plug combinations or the additional installation of frequency converters are possible without any problems. In this way, we always guarantee our customers tailor-made solutions and maximum satisfaction.
Mobility of the future
In addition to the continuous further development of the basic elements of the motors, our own development laboratory is increasingly working in the direction of energy-saving motors with frequency converters and solutions for electromobility.
The ERZMO® MS 1 is our powerful mid-mounted motor, which was specially developed for cargo drives such as cargo bikes.
It not only stands for robustness, but also for sustainability.
We offer an exclusive repair service for all ERZMO® engines. This gives us the opportunity to give our mid-engine a second chance at life and conserve resources.
In-house foundry
Our EMGR range of motors is supplemented by aluminum die castings for our own and third-party use.
In our in-house foundry, high-quality aluminum die-cast products are produced here every day, which are used in a wide variety of areas. A major customer here is the automotive industry, for example.
